The Nature Guides Association of the region denounced the unauthorized clearing of pine trees near the canyon Hoyo de Pelempito, in the Sierra de Bahoruco National Park, to build a heliport.

The 206 was sent to URS for a nose to tail upgrade. URS removed all the avionics and communications equipment along with the Stormscope, autopilot, split buss systems and over sized instrument panel. The ECU and bleed air heater were also removed.
