The Charismatic Bishops Conference has recently suggested to the Government of Ghana that a unit of helicopters will be an asset to the Ghana Police Service. As reported by News Ghana, they highlighted the uses of helicopters, such as search-and-rescue operations, surveillance, monitor traffic, car chases and deployment of men into “conflict zones.” The Ghana police already have a helipad outside their premises, built in 2013, which the Bishops point out should be used.
