Ceuta Heliport handled a total of 7,329 passengers during the month of September , consolidating an upward trend in user flow.

This figure represents an 8.4% increase compared to the figures recorded in the same month in 2024, reflecting the growing confidence of travelers in this infrastructure. September records show an average of more than 240 passengers per day , highlighting the importance of the heliport as a key air connection hub in the city.

Regarding operations, 652 flights were recorded last month connecting Ceuta with the Algeciras Heliport and Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport.

Of these flights, 601 were commercial, a 7.7% increase compared to September of the previous year, confirming the consolidation of this fast and efficient transportation route. The heliport’s activity thus demonstrates its ability to respond to growing demand and maintain safe and consistent operations.

The positive traffic performance in September is also reflected in the cumulative traffic figures for the first nine months of 2025. During this period, the heliport served 64,847 passengers, an increase of 6.9% compared to the same months in 2024, and handled a total of 5,740 flights, of which 5,406 were commercial, a 5.7% increase year-on-year .

These figures confirm the heliport’s consolidation as a strategic transportation hub for the Autonomous City of Ceuta.

Following an equally successful August, in which 7,227 passengers used the heliport facilities , representing an 11.2% increase compared to the same month in 2024, a historic record has been set, making August one of the most notable months in the heliport’s more than twenty years of operation.

These data reinforce the importance of this infrastructure as a fast, safe, and efficient route, not only for passenger transport but also for commercial and tourist connections to the peninsula.

Global results

The positive balance of Ceuta Heliport is part of the overall results achieved by Aena’s Airports and Heliports network . Nationally, the group’s airports handled a total of 35,760,852 passengers in September 2025, 2.7% more than the same month of the previous year, and 299,292 aircraft movements, representing an increase of 2.4%.

In addition, 132,905 tons of cargo were transported, 9.9% more than in 2024. Figures include activity at 46 airports and two heliports in Spain, as well as international airports in the United Kingdom and Brazil.

The growth in traffic at the heliport not only reflects its strategic importance for air connectivity, but also has a direct impact on the local economy.

The increased passenger flow boosts tourism, facilitates business travel, and contributes to the commercial dynamism between Ceuta and the peninsula.

Furthermore, the continued improvement in flight availability benefits the mobility of Ceuta residents , who now have faster access to healthcare, education, and employment services in other Andalusian cities, strengthening territorial integration.

With the September figures, Ceuta Heliport consolidates its role as an expanding infrastructure, with the capacity for sustained growth in the coming years. The data reflects user confidence and Aena ‘s commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in its operations.

Looking ahead, the heliport is expected to continue playing an essential role in regional air mobility, serving as a key tool for territorial cohesion, tourism, and the economic growth of Ceuta.

In short, the heliport continues to establish itself as a key hub for the city, offering travelers a fast and safe option that complements other communication routes. The heliport’s progressive consolidation reinforces its strategic importance and marks a milestone in Ceuta’s air connectivity , demonstrating that it is an essential infrastructure for the coming years.
