Following the recent announcement by Robinson Helicopter Company – see HeliHub 8th February 2010 – that they were accepting orders for the new turbine powered Robinson R66, David George, Chairman of Sloane Helicopters Ltd. has confirmed that Sloane have placed their first order for a new Robinson R66
Sloane Helicopters were one of Robinson’s very first distributors and have sold more new Robinson R22s and R44s than any other dealership worldwide. David George said “We are confident that the new Robinson R66 will join the R22 and the R44 as the best selling helicopter in its class.”
There are currently 219 Robinson R22s and 338 Robinson R44s on the UK Register – Robinsons represent 40% of all UK registered helicopters.
