Survival Systems USA, Inc’s Mobil Training Team to will again be providing a Ditching and Emergency Breathing Systems training on 20 February at Heli-Expo.
The Survival Systems Shallow Water Egress Trainer (SWET) course was specifically developed to train individuals in the basic procedures used to egress a ditched aircraft.
This realistic, eye opening training experience gives aircrews the means to practice those procedures hands-on, utilizing a safe, proven training methodology, in a safe controlled training environment
Through a combination of academic instruction and practical exercises students learn proper brace positions, emergency exit jettisoning and cabin evacuation, EBS equipment characteristics (SEA Mk II), Hazards and physiology of breathing compressed air, pre-flight inspection, clearing procedures)and egress considerations. Following the academic portion the training is moved to the water training area where the lessons learned in the class are put to practical use.
The Survival Systems USA Inc’s Mobile Training Team has traveled through out the Unites States and Canada providing basic procedural and Emergency Breathing Device training to Military, Law Enforcement, Air Medical and Civilian pilots and air crews. As the chosen provider of water survival training for Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA), the Survival Systems USA Inc’s Mobile Training Team has trained over 600 law enforcement personnel in how to correctly respond in the event of a ditching.
