Bond Aviation Group Ltd was awarded EASA STC (Supplement Type Certificate) approval for the installation of the Honeywell CAS 100 TCAS II system into the AS332 L2 Super Puma.

That this programme was completed in less than six months is due, in part, to the superb support received from Honeywell and also from the EASA certification team. The installation is applicable to all Super Puma Mk II aircraft and is currently being installed on six aircraft operated by Bond Offshore Helicopters in the North Sea oil support and SAR roles.

All of the design, certification and production work was carried out at the new Design & Completions facility at the Bond Aviation Group headquarters in Gloucestershire, UK, with installation and flight testing taking place at the Bond Offshore Helicopters facility in Aberdeen.

Major operators of the aircraft type have already expressed interest in the modification and Bond is anticipating strong demand for this significant flight safety enhancing installation.
