Italy’s national aviation authority ENAC (Ente Nazionale per l’Aviazone Civile) has recently announced that Rome Urbe Airport will now be open for helicopter operations ountil 22:00, effective from 3rd November. Previously rotary wing operations were not allowed after sunset.
HeliHub.com understands that this move is part of the relationship between AgustaWestland and Alitalica. Under this agreement, AgustaWestland will set up a helicopter maintenance centre for its helicopters while Alitalica will offer passenger hospitality services, passenger transport provision and corporate helicopter management services.
