The FAA has announced it will hold the kickoff meeting of the United States Instrument Flight Procedures Panel (USIFPP) Vertical Flight Working Group (VFWG) on December 7th and 8th.

The agenda established for this meeting is:
1. To Identify the future of the FAA Order 8260.42B and the US helicopter IFR Criteria, and to identify areas of 8260.42B that need to be changed or revised.
2. To brief the FAA’s current and future focus pertaining to Helicopter Instrument Flight Procedure (IFP) criteria revision and development.
3. To brief on-going Helicopter testing projects, data collection and analysis efforts as they relate to Helicopter IFP criteria revision and development.
4. To provide additional information on future Helicopter related efforts that affect Helicopter IFP criteria revision and development, Helicopter IFR operations and overall safety.
5. To identify priorities for future work and changes and assign future actions.
