Helicopters of Russia, a subsidiary of OAO Oboronprom, became the owner of 24.66% shares of OAO Kazan Helicopter Plant (KHP).  This tactical move is actually to allow Oboronprom to reduce its shareholding 66.15% to 41.49%, according to Interfax.

KHP manufactures helicopters Mi-8, Mi-17 light helicopters Ansat. The authorized capital of KHP is 154.6 million rubles (approx US$5 million), it is divided into 154.89 million ordinary shares and 594, 3 thousand preferred shares with a nominal value of one ruble.
