Alan Mann Helicopters had their AOC (Air Operations Certificate) reinstated on 2nd February 2011 according to CAA spokesman Richard Taylor today. The company had its AOC revoked by the CAA on 14 July 2010 after some key personnel left the company and they were unable to meet the CAA’s requirements – in terms of named persons being assigned key roles, such as Operations Manager.
A company statement emailed to key suppliers at the time by Managing Director Nick Cummings said “You may be aware that [two named individuals] are no longer working for Alan Mann Helicopters. They were suspended for gross misconduct, and subsequently both have resigned. A thorough investigation is continuing and in the light of evidence obtained so far the police and Aviation Regulation Enforcement at the CAA have been informed.” [See full story from July 2010 on HeliHub.com here]
