Bell Helicopter announced today the release of its new website www.bellhelicopter.com, a redesigned internet presence that familiarizes new and prospective customers, helicopter enthusiasts and industry professionals with Bell Helicopter’s industry leading technology.
With a custom, state-of-the-art content management system and clean, user-friendly navigation, the new site helps users find relevant information faster, according to their specific interests.
The site allows customers to explore advantages of owning a Bell Helicopter, including; mission solution overviews, commercial and military aircraft platforms, support and service offerings, enhanced supplier information, career opportunities and insight from Bell Helicopter CEO, John L. Garrison.
“This new website is a radical departure from the existing site, not only from a new look, but in terms of user interface and hybrid technology,” said Kathy Searle, Director Brand and Enterprise Communication. “We wanted to take advantage of what technology can offer and what our users expect of us.”
Bell Helicopter partnered with Element 115 to assist with the new site, which allows design flexibility for visual freshness and both static and dynamic data delivery to accelerate the experience for the customer.
Completely reworked, the site now requires fewer clicks for the user to find their information; over 90 percent of content displays in only two or three clicks.
“Our completely new web presence offers features not found on other sites and creates a two-way conversation with our customers through design elements establish to generate feedback, share success stories and highlight our many customers,” said Searle.
The project went from inception to cost effective reality in just less than six months, a gestation period not normally reserved for websites of this size, magnitude or complexity.
Teams from the disciplines of aircraft manufacturing, Web design, information technology, advertising communications and public relations worked together on the new website, www.bellhelicopter.com.
The launch of this new site is part of Bell Helicopter’s growing digital strategy. The company launched a social media campaign in late 2010, including presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
