British inventor James Dyson, who made his name developing a new style vacuum cleaner, has last week registered a new AgustaWestland AW139 – the first corporate example of the type on the British register. Serial number 31353 and registered G-OAWL, it will replace his N3 Dauphin G-DOLF and operate alongside his Bombardier Challenger G-OXRS. Given Mr Dyson’s preferences to use the aircraft type within the registration, we assume that G-OAWL is supposed to read “GO AgustaWestLand”.
Dyson has in more recent years expanded its product range with a contra-rotating dual-drum washing machine, a hand-dryer and a blade-less fan.
