The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has handed over a final dividend cheque for Rs. 123.17 crores for the year 2010-11 to the government. This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs. 299.95 crores paid in February 2011, and the total dividend for the year works out to Rs. 423.12 crores (351.13 per cent of the paid-up capital). HAL Offg. Chairman Mr P.V Deshmukh handed over the cheque to Hon’ble Defence Minister Mr A.K Antony in New Delhi recently. Mr Shekhar Agarwal, Secretary Defence Production, MoD and Director (Finance) of HAL, Dr. A.K Mishra were present on the occasion. The company has achieved a total sale of Rs. 13,116 crores during the fiscal year and earned Rs. 2,840 crores as profit before tax (PBT).
