CHC has processed a registration transfer to allow it to operate an AW139 in Kazakhstan. Operating until recently from North Denes in the UK, G-CHCV was noted in early November being worked on in Stavangar, Norway – perhaps in preparation for its new role. C-CHCV is serial 41005, a 2007 manufactured aircraft which had 3,007 airframe hours at the end of 2010.
CHC already has a base at Atyrau in Kazakhstan, from where it operates an AS365N3 Dauphin in the search and rescue role.
