Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust needs to alter the site, in Great Western Road, after the recent construction of the multi-storey car park nearby meant helicopters could not fly low enough to land on the existing pad. Nearby trees and other buildings prevent the flight path being from any other direction. As a result the helipad has been closed since the car park was built in April last year. (see full story)
