York Regional Police have confirmed the first of three possible one-year contract extension to the contract with National Helicopters to provide pilots and maintenance services.  The deal is worth $568,908 excluding taxes.  The region’s police services board also approved the 10-year overhaul valued at $709,000.  (see full story).  See also the recommendation document put forward to the Police Services Board which provides much more detail on the contract.
