The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting the 34th annual General Aviation (GA) and Part 135 Activity Survey for calendar year 2011. This survey is used by the FAA to measure the size and activity of the general aviation fleet – INCLUDING HELICOPTERS!
This online survey is used as the basis for FAA estimates of annual helicopter flight time. In turn, those estimates are used to provide a benchmark for the computation of accident rates.
If helicopter flight time is under-reported in the Annual GA and Part 135 Activity Survey, it will result in inflated accident rates which, in turn, would do serious disservice to our industry and its public image.
Please report your flight time in the General Aviation (GA) and Part 135 Activity Survey for calendar year 2011.
Submission of this form is voluntary. The information provided will be used only for statistical purposes and will not be published or released in any form that would reveal specific information reported by an individually identifiable respondent. The FAA has contracted with GA Survey, an independent research firm, to conduct the survey. The contractor is responsible for mailing out the surveys, processing responses, analyzing the results, and maintaining custody of your individual responses.
