Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI), the leading provider of hourly cost maintenance programs for the business aviation industry, continues to expand its presence in Asia. After more than 20 years of providing customers around the world with maintenance cost predictability, JSSI has opened its Asian headquarters at the Hong Kong International Airport and put in place an extraordinary team to cover the region.
Earlier this year, JSSI rescued a Global Express client from an AOG situation in mainland China. The first-ever import of one of their BR-710 loaner engines was coordinated by the JSSI technical team and resulted in another satisfied Hong Kong based client. The entire process required tremendous coordination and effort by the JSSI team, making this unexpected maintenance event a successful engine exchange and got the customer back into the air.
“We are proud of the early success in China, and we look forward to delivering this same value to our rapidly growing customer base throughout Asia,” stated Neil Book, Co-President for JSSI. “This is an exciting market. As the number of business jets in the region grows, we look forward to delivering our unique programs, which provide owners peace of mind. No matter where they fly, if they have a maintenance issue, JSSI will be there.”
The JSSI team in Hong Kong is led by three industry professionals, including Mark Winzar, veteran JSSI Technical Services Manager and Business Development Director, Robin Tozer, newly appointed Technical Services Representative, and Jacquelyn Lau, the Client Services Specialist for the new Hong Kong office.
Mark Winzar joined JSSI in 2010 and has been based in Farnborough at the JSSI European headquarters. Mr. Winzar will now lead business development efforts throughout the region. His successful aviation career began as a helicopter engineer with the UK Ministry of Defense. Winzar then joined the BBA central sales team at H+S Aviation where he became a vital part of the team that set up the PWC JT15D program and was responsible for operations and field service support for several years.
Robin Tozer joins JSSI with more than 20 years of aircraft engineer and maintenance experience throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East. Mr. Tozer came to JSSI from Hongkong Jet, where he was Director of Engineering, and prior to that he was a Bombardier Product Manager for Jet Aviation in Singapore. His extensive technical background also includes several years as Director of Maintenance for Metrojet Limited, a leading business jet operator in Asia, where he managed more than 100 mechanics. Mr. Tozer is a resident of Hong Kong and plans to participate in a maintenance roundtable forum during the Asian Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition in Shanghai, China in April 2013.
Jacquelyn Lau has also joined the new JSSI Hong Kong office. Her recent experience as a Fleet Services Officer involved assisting with the delivery process of corporate jets, including making sure all required certificates were in place and regulations met. Ms. Lau is a graduate of Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada and has excellent command of English, Cantonese and Mandarin languages.
“We are excited about the team we have put together to support the opportunities in the Asian market,” commented Tim Coggin, Managing Director of JSSI EMEAA. “We are in a global business environment, so it is important that we continue to expand our presence worldwide and provide our clients with the best service in the industry.”
