Bond Offshore Helicopters confirm fleet repaint

Bond Offshore Helicopters confirm fleet repaint

26-Feb-2013 Source: HeliHub.com

Bond Offshore will be changing the livery of its helicopters to dark blue to match the rest of the Avincis Group’s global offshore fleet, but the aircraft will still be branded with the Bond name.  This change is designed to allow Avincis to more efficiently direct resources to where they’re most needed, such as bringing two new S-92s over from their Norwegian sister company NHS to work for Bond’s customers in the UK.  In a statement to HeliHub.com, the company added “We’re proud of Bond’s long history of serving its customers; carrying hundreds of thousands of passengers safely to work and back again, taking people to hospital and rescuing people from the North Sea.”

So, the Bond name is not disappearing from the offshore market, and the new colour scheme is the Avincis colour scheme, and not the Norsk scheme as everyone previously understood from photos like the one below.    Avincis Group is the holding company for all the aspects of Bond’s work in UK, Ireland and Australia.  Other companies in Avincis include INAER in Spain, Italy and Chile, Australian Helicopters in (erm) Australia, and Norsk Helicopter Service in Norway.

The Sikorsky S92 you see below is the first delivery of sixteen of the type on order for Avincis (see HeliHub.com story) – and the first to appear in the new colours.
