H+S Aviation Highlights GE CT7-8 Engine Repair and Overhaul

H+S Aviation, Portsmouth, UK has added the new generation General Electric CT7-8 series turboshaft engine to its EASA 145 and FAA approvals list. The CT7-8 is currently in production for Sikorsky S-92 and AgustaWestland AW101 multi-engine helicopters. H+S Aviation now offers full scale support for engine repair, overhaul, test and field support.

“The addition of the CT7-8 to our portfolio strengthens our position as a world leading, independent service provider for rotorcraft engines,” stated Mark Taylor, Managing Director H+S Aviation. “We have an excellent track record on this engine series,” he continued. “Combined with our experienced technicians, OEM-correlated test facility and proven process technology, our customers worldwide will receive the outstanding level of service they have come to expect.”

H+S Aviation has been GE approved on various models of the CT7/T700 series since 1984. During that time, the company has processed more than 2,500 of this engine type through its facility. In December 2012, H+S Aviation further strengthened its GE relationship when the company signed an extended subcontract agreement to handle all Engine Care and Maintenance Program (ECMP) commercial engine shop visits for CT7-5A and -9B turboprop engines used on SAAB 340 aircraft.H+S Aviation is exhibiting during HeliExpo 2013 at BBA Aviation’s Booth #C1216.
