ACR Electronics, Inc., announced today that they have received authorization by the FAA to open and maintain a designated Part 145 Repair Station to service ARTEX brand name ELT’s in their 55,000 square foot facility in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. ACR Electronics, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Artex brand of ELT’s. Previously, the Artex ELT’s were repaired by an authorized subcontractor in Prescott, Arizona.

ACR Electronics, Inc. worked with local airworthiness authorities to have the Part 145 station facility ready in 6 months, which was a very aggressive and stringent time-frame. “We are pleased to be able to offer our customers a greater range of maintenance and repair services,” said Michael Wilkerson, CEO of ACR Electronics, Inc. “Our new in-house repair station now allows us the flexibility and faster turnaround times in order to provide our valuable customers with the support they have come to expect from Artex products.”

As part of its initiative to strengthen its service center network, ACR Electronics, Inc. created a web based training platform on ACRUniversity.com.  This training is available for authorized service centers and battery replacement programming facilities worldwide. ACR/ARTEX will still offer onsite training for authorized facilities who prefer hands-on training.

ACR Electronics, Inc. manufactures emergency beacons and radios for the ACR and ARTEX product lines. ARTEX products operate on a wide range of aircraft including general aviation, bizjet, air transport and military aircraft.
