Metro Aviation recently hosted its first of 3 Turbomeca Level 1 classes for 2013 at its new training facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Turbomeca USA is providing factory training courses on Arriel and Arrius engines in the Metro Aviation Training Center.
Since completing its new comprehensive Training Center at the beginning of the year, Metro Aviation has utilized the space for annual training for pilots, check airmen and technicians, as well as new employee orientation. Terry Palmer, Metro’s Director of Training, says this is just the start of what the training center will offer to the aviation community. “We’re excited that our Training Center is going to raise the industry standard for training and safety,” she said.
Metro will provide advanced training presentations and techniques to its staff of over 700 maintenance technicians and pilots located throughout the United States. Turbomeca USA classes are available each quarter and open to everyone in the helicopter industry. For more information on upcoming classes, visit www.metroaviation.com.
