Full retail sale transactions for pre-owned piston and turbine helicopters were down 11.8% and 13.5%, respectively, compared to 2012.
At the close of 2013, JETNET reported nearly 30,000 helicopters in service, roughly two-thirds of which are turbine powered, and a third of which are piston powered. The firm now tracks 134 separate civil helicopter models in 184 countries, a stunning task.
