Among the announcements at FIDAE 2014 was the Bolivian Air Force’s order for two more EC145s. They will be operated to support natural disasters, fire support, medical evacuations, supply in isolated areas and the transfer of government personnel. The new order includes pilot training, technical assistance and a logistic package of tools and spare parts to be provided by Airbus Helicopters.
The existing two EC145s with the Bolivian Air Force were delivered towards the end of 2012. These are operated by separate units – one by Air Group 31 from El Alto and the other by Air Group 51 from Cochabamba seen below at its commissioning ceremony
