The latest evolution of the well-known helicopter EC145 of Airbus Helicopters, the H145 model, made its debut these days at INAER’s EMS base in Pieve di Cadore, officially entering into service for SUEM 118 of Belluno.
The official ceremony of inauguration was organised on August 10th at the EMS base in Pieve, at the presence of all the representatives of the network and of the emergency service active in the area, and with the welcome participation of the Governor of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia.
The new helicopter is the sixth H145 in service in Italy with INAER, representing a crucial step for the SUEM 118 of Belluno, thanks to its technical features: safe, reliable and capable of operating without restrictions even when high-flying during the summer, when hot temperatures and thin air could affect the helicopter’s performances.
INAER Italy has been operating the helicopter emergency service in Pieve di Cadore since 2009 together with the other three bases in Veneto: Verona, Treviso and Padova.
