Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that it is now a distributor of several new product offerings, under its Aeronautical Accessories brand, including the new LED Super™ Nightscanner®, Bell 206 series Van Horn rotor blades and multiple products from the Airglas product line.
“We continually look for innovative products to add to our product line that will not only add value, but will in fact improve our customers’ business.” said Jennifer Lunceford, manager, Sales, Aeronautical Accessories. “We are proud to begin offering the new LED Super™ Nightscanner®, Bell 206 series Van Horn rotor blades and multiple products from the Airglas product line to our customer base. These new products provide customers with convenient and safe mission solutions to enhance their performance capabilities around the world.”
The new LED Super™ Nightscanner lighting unit provides a powerful, long lasting light with more than 50,000 hours of service life and the brightness of more than 600,000 candela. Partnering with Hoffman Engineering, Bell Helicopter will additionally be producing and distributing, under its Aeronautical Accessories brand, Hoffman Engineering LED Lighting, not only as a direct replacement bulb for the Super™ Nightscanner® light, but also upgrading it to the LED Super™ Nightscanner.
Bell Helicopter selected Hoffman Engineering as they have introduced the first ever PAR64 LED Landing Light, a drop-in replacement for existing GE Q4559 and GE Q4559X quartz halogen lamps. The ruggedized PAR64 light is used on a wide range of commercial, civil, law enforcement, aero-medical and military aircraft.
The Aeronautical Accessories brand will now also include Van Horn composite main rotor blades for Bell 206 series models. The new blades are now FAA authorized, receiving a Supplemental Type Certificate in February 2016. To better support the missions of the 206 operators, the product features carbon fiber construction and contains a laminar flow airfoil shape with tapered tips. The blades also include a combination of nickel and stainless steel abrasion strips that extend the length of the blade to ensure erosion protection and grounding against potential lightning strikes
“Van Horn Aviation is proud to offer our latest innovative product in composite rotor blades for Bell 206 owners,” said Dean Rosenlof, President for Van Horn Aviation. “We are equally proud to continue to work with Bell Helicopter’s Aeronautical Accessories in reaching the global market.”
Further adding to their aftermarket parts and accessories offerings, Bell Helicopter will now also globally distribute the Airglas product line under the Aeronautical Accessories brand, including:
“Airglas products are a good fit for Aeronautical Accessories,” said Jim Hammer, Operations Manager for Airglas. “Although they have extensive product offerings to all rotorcraft makes, we will provide them with some new and unique accessory categories. We look forward to working with their excellent customer service group and increasing our global reach.”
