Aviators Air Rescue Pvt Ltd has leased three Airbus H130 helicopters from Lease Corporation International (LCI), the aviation division of the Libra Group.

Based in Bangalore, India, Aviators Air Rescue stakes its claim as the country’s first civil helicopter emergency service with advanced life support capabilities. The aircraft will be used for emergency medical service missions.

Aviators Air Rescue will be run in partnership with US company Air Medical Group. The helicopters are being used as part of a ‘big leap’ by the company into the world of air ambulances.

Arun Sharma, managing director of Aviators Air Rescue, said he was pleased with the deal: “It is a pleasure to be able to leverage the expertise, professionalism and flexibility of LCI. They understand our business and are helping us bring a vital new service to the people of India.”
