Three Black Hawk Medevac helicopters were delivered to the new Hawaii Army National Guard this past Friday. Currently the new Black Hawks are being used for medical evacuation and SAR, and are stationed temporarily at the Wheeler Army Airfield. The Army Aviation Support Facility is helping build a $32.6 million base at Kalaeloa, complete with a hangar, classrooms, offices and conference rooms, reports EMS World. Once the base is completed, the new helicopters will be relocated.
