The Russian Navy recently received their first modernised Ka-27M multipurpose helicopter from Russian Helicopters. The upgrades enable real-time transmission to ground and seaborne command stations as well as to other helicopters, reports Air Defence Blog. It will be used for anti-submarine defence, air reconnaissance and the search and detection of surface ships and submarines.
