The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has received two of their 12 Mi-35M attack helicopters. They ordered the 12 helicopters from Russian Helicopters in September 2015 as part of their modernisation programme, reports Defence Web. The remaining 10 should arrive by late 2018.
The Mi-35M has two Klimov VK-2500 turbo-shaft engines as well as advanced equipment such as thermal imaging, a laser rangefinder and multi-function coloured displays. It can also transport the weight of 8 fully equipped paratroopers.
