Pawan Hans and the State of Arunachal Pradesh are to jointly pay compensation to Dr Rama Shankar. Dr Shankar has filed a complaint of deficiency in service and mental harassment. He says that he was asked to de-board the helicopter going to Naharlagun just before take-off, after showing his ticket and boarding the aircraft. He was then made to board a different flight going to the same destination. He wasn’t allowed to collect his luggage off the helicopter and was only able to retrieve them the following day.

The Consumer Dispute Redressel Forum has directed Pawan Hans and the state government to pay Rs 2 lakh for the deficiency of service and another Rs 1 lakh for mental harassment, with an interest rate of 6%, reports Arunachal Times.
