On May 6th & 7th, the
Alaska Airmen’s Association celebrated their 20th year of the
Great Alaskan Aviation Gathering. This is the largest free-entry aviation trade show in America and this must-see aviation event has over 23,000 attendees, including pilots and aviation enthusiasts. Alaska is the “flyingest” state in the union with more pilots and aircraft per capita than anywhere in the world.
Stan Rose, HAI Director of Safety Outreach, was able to visit with the staff of the Association as well as many of our HAI Operator Members, Associates and Affiliates. In addition to the commercial pilots, this group represents the grass roots of general aviation in an environment where aviation is a primary form of transportation and it is a pleasure to see and hear the conversations regarding the basics of aviation safety.
