The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has submitted a proposal authorising the use of drones or UAVs to record aerial surveys. These surveys will be able to identify unauthorised constructions of buildings or encroachment. This information can greatly help the Special Planning Authority. They currently use Google Maps to research this data, but it is not always sufficient, reports UAS Vision.
