Bristow has started construction on their new HM Coastguard SAR helicopter base at the Lydd Airport. The project, costing £7.8 million, is hoped to be finished by February 2018. Bristow has been operating out of a temporary base at Lydd Airport for two years now, reports Bristow Group. The location of the new base means they have better access to the south east of England, covering across Kent, Sussex, Norfolk, Essex, Surrey, Suffolk and Greater London.
