Hervery Bay Hospital is opening their newly constructed helipad this week. Along with the helipad opening, they are also announcing the completion of their new 125-space parking lot. The upgrades are all part of a $44.2 million project to renovate the emergency department. They will also be building six new ambulance bays and are looking for tenders for the construction of a three storey emergency department building. The project was made possible by the Palaszczuk Government’s Enhancing Regional Hospital’s Program, reports Fraser Coast Chronicle.
