Sikorsky’s Troy facility will soon be laying off roughly 160 employees due to a decline in the production of MH-60R Seahawk helicopters. The Seahawk is the primary source of work for the facility and after meeting their customer’s requirements, production has slowed down. They have had to make the decision to let go employees to ensure that the company is still competitive. These employees have until August with the company, reports Troy Messenger. The company is however looking for other work and is happy to pass on resumes to ensure the employees let go have a better chance of finding other work.
