The UK Ministry of Defence and Leonardo signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement for the work on future AW149 production. They had hoped the AW149 would be the replacement for the Royal Air Force’s Airbus Puma HC2 fleet, which will retire in 2025, reports Flight Global. Managing Director, Daniele Romiti, has said that should the agreement go forward, he hopes to have the production site moved from Vergiate, Italy to Yeovil, UK.
