Transport Canada has finally received the green card to land at the new heliport at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre. The town’s iconic water tower had to be demolished in order for Transport Canada to have a clear flight path. The STARS helicopter had to land at Rocky Mountain House airport with their patients where they were transported via ground ambulances. AHS Central Zone had to spend $430,000 to remove the water tower, reports RD News NOW.
