MD Helicopters has decided to stop their development of their MD540A armed reconnaissance and light attack helicopter. They commented that because their current MD530F and MD530G models were based off the same Model 369FF as the MD540A, that they no longer require the helicopter. They are instead focusing on the development of a new single engine helicopter, the MD6XX, reports IHS Janes.
