The number of commercial helicopter flights has risen rapidly in Bangladesh. The civilian use of helicopters was limited in the past, with only occasions such as marriage ceremonies, political programmes, advertisements and film shootings. Now, more and more businessmen are using helicopters to travel. Certain tour operators now even offer helicopter flights at Tk17,000. They travel between Dhaka and Mawa and Jamuna Bridge, reports Dhaka Tribune.
