UTair Helicopters has recently ordered four H125 helicopters from Airbus Helicopters, states a local press source quoting commercial director Oleg Semenov. The first will be delivered in April/May 2018 with all four arriving by mid-summer. They will replace four Robinson R44s which are no longer being used operationally, but are leased out by UTair to other operators.
UTair currently operates 21 helicopters from the AS350/AS355 family for a range of utility tasks including pipe and powerline patrols, external load lifting and some passenger work too. The fleet expansion will help the company raise their flying hours by 30% to 16,000 hours in 2018.
