Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solutions division today announced that it was awarded a contract by Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin (lockheedmartin.com) company, to provide its Air Data Computer (ADC) and Windshield Anti-Ice Controller (WAIC) technology for use on multiple variants of the Black Hawk helicopter delivered to the U.S. Army and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
“We are very pleased to continue our ongoing support of Sikorsky’s UH-60M utility helicopters, and other Black Hawk variants, with our industry leading air data computer and windshield anti-ice controller solutions,” said Lynn Bamford, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Defense Solutions division. “We believe this follow-on to a multi-year contract indicates Sikorsky’s confidence in and satisfaction with our cost-effective advanced rotorcraft technologies.”
Curtiss-Wright is manufacturing the ADC products covered by this agreement at its facility in Bournemouth, UK. The WAIC products are manufactured at Curtiss-Wright’s Santa Clarita, Calif. facility. The products are being shipped to Sikorsky in Stratford, Conn.
