The RACQ LifeFlight BK117 helicopter successfully landed at Mount Isa Hospital’s new helipad, last Wednesday. A landing area for the helicopter has been a long problem, first having to land at the touch football field, then in the Ian Street car park, which was too small of a space. The new helipad will allow for faster patient care, reports The North West Star.
