The Edmonton Police Service is having to renew their maintenance support contract with Safran Helicopter Engines, worth $4.3 million over 10 years. The agreement stipulates that the service’s Flight Operations Unit will pay a certain hourly rate per hour, instead of a large sum when the engine overhauls are due. Included in the agreement is that all other maintenance costs are included, reports Edmonton Journal.
