The Turkish Minister of Technology, Mustafa Varank, visited Turkish Engine Industries recently to test the new TS1400 turboshaft engine. The engine is being developed for the T625 Gokbey helicopter. Both the helicopter and its engine are another step forward to Turkey releasing dependence on outside companies, as they were both designed and made by TEI engineers, reports Hürriyet Daily News.
