Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK won the £1.8 million contract from Ørsted for the design and construction of a heliport. The heliport will be in Barrow-in-Furness, which will help helicopters travel to and from the Walney Extension off-shore wind farm. The heliport will include an aviation fueling system which will hold up to 15,000 litres as well as modular welfare units for employees based at the heliport, reports The Westmorland Gazette.
