The US State Department has begun selling their fleet of S61T helicopters. Originally bought for the transportation of diplomats and other VIP individuals in high-risk areas, the fleet now sits idle in a storage hangar in Southern Florida. The first 5 helicopters have been auctioned off, each with a starting price of $500,000, reports The Drive. The remainder of the fleet is hoped to be sold within the next six months.
