North Sea helicopter pilots have voted to strike after negotiations between their employer, CHC, and Balpa, the pilots union. The decision to strike came from a ballot where 94% voted for strike action. They are legally allowed to take industrial action in the following bases; Sumburgh, Norwich, Aberdeen and Humberside. CHC has commented that they are disappointed at the plan to strike and that they had made a competitive pay offer, reports Energy Voice.
