Eve Urban Air Mobility Solutions, Inc. (Eve) announced a cooperation with Beacon, the maintenance coordination platform from EmbraerX, to be included in Eve’s portfolio of service and support solutions. Eve will utilize Beacon’s multi-sided platform that connects and synchronizes industry resources, the aftermarket supply chain, and aviation professionals in a more agile and efficient way to keep aircraft flying. Both Eve and Beacon were incubated by EmbraerX, a market accelerator for disruptive innovation businesses from Embraer.

“This initiative highlights an important pillar of our strategic plan as it reinforces the relevance of innovation and diversification for the company’s sustainable growth. Eve and Beacon are bringing new capabilities to the market, creating disruptive solutions for urban air mobility. Initiatives like this drive the future of our business”, said Francisco Gomes Neto, president and CEO of Embraer.

Beacon brings together different stakeholders working on unscheduled interruptions to foster real-time collaboration, and accelerating the return to service of aircraft. By leveraging the startup mindset and Embraer’s experience, Beacon opens a new digital era in aviation services.

Beacon, which recently announced agreements with ABS Jets and The Mobile Repair Team (MRT), has been creating a position for itself in the digital and agnostic aviation services industry. By the end of April 2021, Beacon concluded over 35,000 unscheduled cases by more than one thousand users. These numbers are expected to grow as the aviation industry recovers from the COVID-19 crisis.

Backed by Embraer’s more than 50-year history of aircraft manufacturing and certification expertise, Eve unveils a unique value proposition by positioning itself as an ecosystem partner by offering a comprehensive suite of products and services. Eve’s human-centered electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) zero-emission and low-noise aircraft design represents a simple and intuitive design that continues to reach development milestones, including the first flight of the engineering simulator in July 2020 with planned full-scale flights in 2021.

In addition to the aircraft program, Eve is harnessing the expertise of both Embraer and Atech, a subsidiary of the Embraer Group, in providing globally-recognized air traffic management software to create the solutions that will help safely scale the UAM industry going forward known as Urban Air Traffic Management.
