Helix Airlines signs for both Mi-8MTV and Ansat helicopters

The Russian Helicopters holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) and Helix Airlines have signed a contract for the supply of four helicopters within the framework of the MAKS-2021 International Aviation and Space Salon.

The agreement provides for the supply of Mi-8MTV and Ansat helicopters starting in 2022.

The document was signed by the Deputy General Director of the Russian Helicopters holding for sales of civil helicopters Yuri Matsegor and the Deputy General Director for Strategic Development of Heliks Aviation JSC Vadim Baldin. 

The supplied helicopters will be operated in the Urals and Western Siberia, providing the development of helicopter travel and logistics support for the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of Russia.

Heliks Airlines is one of the oldest airlines operating Russian helicopters. The company was registered in Perm in 1991. The fleet includes 10 Mi-8 helicopters and 3 Il-76 aircraft. The airline’s helicopters provide search and rescue services in the Urals (Perm, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk), perform excursion flights to the Northern Urals (Manpopuner plateau, Dyatlov pass) and provide logistical support to companies in the fuel and energy complex in Western Siberia.

The International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2021 is held from 20 to 25 July in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region. The event is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the State Corporation Rostec. In 2019, the value of contracts and agreements signed during the days of the salon’s work exceeded 250 billion rubles, the business potential of the event amounted to about 400 billion rubles.
